retibution farming FoW
Hey people, this is my build for farming the beach in FoW, using w/mo:
Skills: Retribution, Holy wrath, healing signet, riposte, lions comfort, sprint, *edit* whirlwind attack, auspicious parry.
attribute points: 7 smiting, 11 sword, 13 tactics, 10 strength.
Equipment: decent sword (max damage) (furious hilt is useful, +30hp mod), max shield (+health whilst enchanted or +30 health (preferably both)), max armor (again your preference – I use knights: I know it reduces damage taken {and therefore damage given out} but it’s effective and doesn’t hinder my build in any way)
Runes: I use a superior vigor and superior swordsman ship, with minor tactics and strength and finally a rune of vitae.
When you engage a group of enemies use auspicious parry as soon as possible to gain adrenaline - then simply cycle riposte and lions comfort until they are down, use auspicious parry to keep up adrenaline constantly.
The route I take:
Attacking driftwoods you should have both enchantments up, and cycle lots of ripostes with the occasional lions comfort. –they should drop pretty fast.
PROS
- Its quicker than using FoW W/Me build and just as easy
CONS
- Still cant kill ancient skale (but they are easier to survive)
- Strip enchantment spells (dryders and skale), these spells are an obvious nuisance but otherwise perfectly survivable.
Alterations?: I personally can’t find a more effective way to use this build- taking signets is pointless as they spend most of the time recharging.
NB: this build works in Old Ascalon (sardelac sanitarium) and outside Ice tooth caves in hard mode too.
Cheers all- arch (sethyp)

You say it's quicker than the w/me version, but you dont even kill the spiders... thats where the actual run begins for me.
(not that i ever do spidercave anymore, i usually do w/d with hero bonder to kill all shadows, skeletons, forest and forgemaster's castle.)

you could bring balthz spirit and switch the build around with some skills that use energy.

trust me i'v tried lots of varients to the build. taking balthz spritit is ok for adrenaline gain with holy wrath - but tbh rather pointless with auspicious parry and 13 tactics which gains energy much quicker. and balthz spirit with retribution deals so little damage it simply isnt worth the effort.
[QUOTE=beltran13579]y bring riposte if it doesnt hurt the spiders.[QUOTE]
riposte is great for killing the driftwoods, very fast and doesnt interupt general attacking. i asure you if you simply stand and heal the spiders will kill themselves very quickly. theres no need for another attack skill as one teames with auspicious parry is enough to almost continuously use it.

i just choose not to kill the spiders - as i said its perfectly possible/easy. i useualy run in get a shard or 2 then stop- saves time and earns money. and yes it is quicker than w/me version which i used to use but found dull.
cheers for comments so far all

-1 energy degen on a 20 energy pool= really bad for sustained enchantments that leave at 0 energy

Although a lot more challenging, the old W/Mo Build for FoW spiders with healing hands and such was very good and incredibly quick. Its on the thread there somewhere, I dont know where though

im assuming its not to many because of they way the build works it relies on taking dmg to deal dmg so u cant take to much dmg

I don't get it. Tried it on insects outside yohlon haven and got raped almost instantly.
I just set the enchantments, auspicious parry as soon as i can(and every time it recharges), beat something up and mash lion's comfort+parry, correct?

Very nice guide, but why not Whirlwind Attack instead of Standing Slash?
